Angry Black Woman 101, a powerful one-woman show by acclaimed performer Kathryn Seabron, takes the stage at Theatre Off Jackson from February 21–23, 2024. Through personal stories, poetry, and media pieces, Seabron examines the harsh realities of misogynoir—the intersection of racism and sexism that Black women face daily.
Set against the backdrop of Seabron’s own experiences in a Bay Area nonprofit, Angry Black Woman 101 delves into the microaggressions and systemic barriers Black women navigate, while celebrating their resilience and triumph. This compelling performance provides a space for shared reflection, acknowledgment, and empowerment.
