Matthew Reynolds (he/they) Performer & Book Having lived in a variety of communities, countries, and demographics, Matthew has thoroughly honed his communication skills and paired them with an innate generosity toward the perspectives of others. With over 15 years as a teacher in secondary education, he’s passionate about disseminating knowledge. A focus on the performing arts has tuned his ability to reach minds and change hearts through multiple avenues of learning and processing. He is more than ready to step back onto the stage in this telling tale of growth, expansion, and transformation into his biggest, fullest, and brightest life. Excited to spark others towards living their biggest, fullest, brightest life.
Jared Goode (he/him) Book, Music & Lyrics & Vocals is an LA-based musical theater writer who is thrilled and honored to be collaborating with Matthew on this incredibly special show. Jared and Matthew’s prior projects include the Crater Renaissance Academy productions Media Circus and Tag Me in Crimetown; and in partnership with Tina McMurray, After School Special: The Musical and A Very Undead Christmas. Jared is the creator of Midnight Musicals, a scripted queer horror podcast musical series with several episodes slated for release in 2024. He has contributed songs to Eerie Earfuls Vol.1: Haunted Sounds of Halloween Night, It Listens From the Radio, is the lyricist of Orange is the New Musical, and has been on the producing team of reality television programs I Am Jazz, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge, and Vacation Creation. Matthew’s humanity-led philosophy and his Work supporting others in crafting their equity lens, as well as the radical authenticity he brings to everything he does, has been inspirational and life-changing for Jared. The power of that radical authenticity has been integral in driving the creation of Sweaty tHOTs.
Julie Oda Grantham (she, her) Director, has been a professional actor for over 30 years and has credits in Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theaters across the country, most recently at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival where she played many Shakespearean heroines and created roles in world premieres, classics and modern plays over eight seasons. Lately, Julie is focusing on breathing life into stories. She is thrilled to be working with Matthew and this amazing team on telling his story. Storytelling is essential healing for both the teller and the listener, and Matthew’s journey, full of hilarious, heartbreaking and beautiful truths, will change everyone who is lucky enough to be in the room with him. His love and light have changed Julie and the way she walks through the world.
