Ever feel like everything is possible and nothing at all? Brayton does. He’s 25, his best friend just got married, and now he’s alone. Primed for a new adventure, Brayton travels across the U.S. over 10 winters, yearning for a reason to stop running. Journeying through fake friends, lost pets, love battles, and technology of the future, “25-35” bravely tears into the taboo subject of loneliness that plagues Americans, particularly men. Before he steps out on the ice, Brayton must decide how much of himself he can give to others–in this rap musical with one performer.

Tré Calhoun (Actor: “Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration,” “Every Five Minutes,” “The Wedding Gift”; Writer: “American Archipelago,” “The Other Town,” “The Black Eye Society: A Cycle”; Parley Associate Playwright) is a black performer, musician, and social justice playwright, who tells a cautioning tale inspired by his memoirs.

Wesley Frugé (Forward Flux Productions Artistic Director: “A Small History of Amal, Age 7,” “No More Sad Things,” “Green Whales”) directs Calhoun’s delicate and riveting adventure through young adulthood, in which one actor plays over seven characters.
